With so many blogs out there it's hard to tell which marketing blogs to follow to gain the knowledge you need to become better at marketing.
In fact, you could end up doing the wrong thing because you have seen so many different strategies from a multitude of blogs, the key to succeeding in any business is to have a narrow focus.
Yes, you want to have multiple goals for your business, but if you try to accomplish them all at once, then you're just setting yourself up for failure.
I talked about getting started as affiliate marketer recently, and I forgot to mention that you need to learn those skills from somewhere.
This page isn't a big fancy list of all the places you can learn to become better affiliates.
That defeats the purpose.
This article is a small resource blog with my favorite blogs out there.
So, let's jump in!
WPBeginner (WordPress Guides)
You might hear me say this a lot in the next couple of minutes so bear with me.
I love this website.
I used it myself to learn tons of things about my website that I didn't learn before (even from where I got my training).
WPBeginner (ran by Syed Balkhi) teaches new web owners all they need to know about WordPress.
For those who don't already know, WordPress is one of the most popular CMS (Content Management Systems) out there with over 74 million websites using their service (Including me).
The five problems that WPBeginner focus on are:
- Boosting The Speed of Your Site
- Putting Up Security Stronger Than Graphene
- WordPress SEO
- How to Deal With Site Errors
- Building an Online Store
Luckily for all of you, they have a page dedicated page for getting you started. Click here to see that page.
Copyblogger (Made for Content Writers)
I don't want to keep saying I love this website because that will get old quick.
So instead I am just going to say that these guys have been one of the go-to places for content writers year after year.
Everything they publish is gold.
Since their target audience seems to be freelancer writers, I think it's best if you started here.
I don't want to leave it at that, so here are some articles that I have read that I think you should as well:
- Creating Cornerstone Content That Google Loves
- Types of Evergreen Content that Produce Lasting Results
- 30 Tips that Help You Become an In-Demand Freelance Writer
They also have a training membership, some of the content is for paid members only, and others are free, but all of them are packed with value.
NicheHacks (For People Who Want to Build Niche Sites)
So, you have gone through the content over at WPbegginer, and you think "Hey awesome, I know how to create my WordPress site."
What do you do after that?
NicheHacks is an excellent place to start. As the name implies, their primary focus in helping you create profitable niche sites.
The plan is to start small and scale from there.
They also have a page dedicated to getting started; you can head over there and start learning.
They have tons of excellent articles with facts that you want to know.
For example, in their article on myths breaking wannabe marketers like you, they mentioned how only 22% of sites created within the last year was on the first page.
I can vouch for that myself.
I built a site in late 2015 which didn't see first page ranks until late 2016 - early 2017.
Authority Hacker (Inbound Marketing Guides)
If small niche sites aren't what you're looking to build, then you can check out Authority Hacker instead.
It takes a lot more time, effort and money to build a site that most people within your space recognized (aka an authoritative site).
Even after two and a half years, I am still learning new things every single day. In fact, even after ten years, people like Neil Patel are always learning new things on a daily basis.
Before you head over to AH, I want to tell you something important.
Becoming an authority figure will take you a LONG time.
If you're the type of person to give up after a month or two, then I recommend doing something other than inbound marketing.
Once you head over there, I recommend reading these articles to get started:
OutRankn (SEO, Content, & Affiliate Marketing)
OutRankn is our blog, so of course, we'd think that it's a blog that you should check out.
However, we are not trying to boost our ego by adding our blog here.
The OutRankn blog is newer to the scene the all of the other blogs mentioned here which is our advantage.
Most people do not get to witness a blog growing from scratch. Instead, you see this huge blogs appear out of nowhere.
It takes a lot to grow a blog. However, not everyone gets to see one develop. Our blog is designed to help you with three different things:
I have been creating websites around these three types of marketing for over 3 and a half years now, so I am not considered an expert.
However, I do understand more about SEO than most people.
Which is why the OutRankn blog will be designed to document my (and any other person working for us) journey, by doing this, you can see how any person can build a business online.

In the short period you've spent here, you have gotten:
